Match-Trader Indicators: Tools for Better Market Analysis

Home » Match-Trader Indicators: Tools for Better Market Analysis

Technical indicators remain a core part of how traders evaluate price movements, identify trends, and assess potential entry and exit points. For users of Match-Trader, the platform has significantly expanded its native charting capabilities, giving traders more analytical tools without requiring them to move between different platforms. In August 2026, Match-Trade Technologies expanded the Match-Trader indicator library to 84 built-in indicators, adding 63 new tools. The expansion includes 49 technical indicators and 14 volume-based indicators, broadening the platform’s coverage of trend, momentum, volatility, price structure, and market activity.

Understanding Match-Trader Indicators

Indicators are mathematical calculations based on market data that help traders interpret price behavior. They can be used to identify trends, measure momentum, assess volatility, locate potential support and resistance levels, or look for divergences.

The expanded Match-Trader library allows traders to combine different types of indicators within their charts. This can be useful for developing a more structured trading process, particularly for traders who rely on multiple signals before entering a position.

The platform also supports Indicator Templates, allowing users to save preferred indicator configurations and reuse them across charts. This can make analysis more consistent when monitoring multiple instruments.

Key Indicators Available on Match-Trader

One notable addition is Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP). VWAP combines price and trading activity to provide a reference for an instrument’s average traded price during a session. Traders can use it to assess intraday direction and determine whether price is trading above or below an activity-weighted reference level.

The Money Flow Index (MFI) provides another way to examine market momentum. It combines price and volume information and is commonly used to identify potentially overbought or oversold conditions and divergences.

Pivot Points Standard can help traders identify potential support and resistance areas. Instead of manually calculating levels, the indicator provides a predefined framework that can be useful for intraday analysis.

Meanwhile, On-Balance Volume (OBV) tracks cumulative buying and selling pressure based on price changes and volume. Traders can use it alongside price action to determine whether market activity is supporting an existing trend.

Why the Expanded Library Matters

The main advantage of a larger indicator library is flexibility. Different trading strategies require different analytical approaches, and having more tools available directly within the trading platform can reduce the need to switch between charting applications.

For brokers, a broader native charting toolkit can also improve the overall trading experience offered to clients. Match-Trader already provides web and mobile trading interfaces with integrated charting capabilities, making technical analysis part of the wider execution environment.

However, more indicators do not automatically mean better trading decisions. Traders still need to understand what each indicator measures and avoid filling charts with multiple tools that provide essentially the same signal. Indicators work best when they complement a clearly defined trading strategy and risk-management process.

The Bottom Line

Match-Trader’s expansion to 84 built-in indicators gives traders a considerably broader technical-analysis toolkit. From VWAP and MFI to Pivot Points and OBV, the platform now supports a wider range of approaches to studying price and market activity.

For traders who prefer keeping analysis and execution within the same environment, the expanded indicator library makes Match-Trader a more comprehensive option for technical market analysis.
